If i were to lift my 86 ezgo with one of the 4 or 5 in lift kits, does that require me to make modifications to the steering compnents??

You should get everything you need in the kit.

Try a search on lifts and checked out what others have done yet?
Lot of info out there that helped me do all of my lifts. |

Re: Lift kit, steering mods?
What kind of lift are you thinking about? drop axle? block lift? If i'm right about your suspension (maybe thinking of a newer type) and your doing a block lift the only problem you might have is the bar that runs from the steering to the spindle could hit the spring. That all depends on how much you lift it. You may have to mod the bar but that shouldn't be a real big deal. I believe if you go high enough you can run it under the spring but you may need to add some length to it. Without seeing your frontend I can't be sure it's what i'm talking about, I've made lifts for those and not had to do anything to the steering but that's for smaller lifts with 22" tires. If you go to big with the tires they'll hit the cart when turning, then you have to put on some txt springs to move the front out some. That will change the mounts on the front axle so it's best to plan it out before hand. I'm really not sure which suspension you have without seeing it.
