Default tie rod or a arm probs or what???

If I turn my wheels to the right to make a descent sharp turn my right wheel locks out. It has to do with the tie rod end I think. It hyperextends, if you will. Its like instead of the rod stopping to keep this from happening the wheel will just turn way out. I have to go around and push the tire back in. The cart has a madjax A arm lift kit. I should probably take a picture of it when it happens again. It can be recreated very easily. I didn't know if there was an adjustment to keep this from happening or what I need to do about it. 1- it is annoying but mostly I am afraid of this happening when the cart is moving faster than just backing in or out of the garage.

Any Ideas???
And thanks. I haven't found anything like this on here anywhere. If it is you can just tell me how to search it. Thanks again....

Check your Toe and camber adjustments. My cart will do that when turning right if those adjustments are out.

the right side appears to be out all the way but it wont adjust any. In or out. The bar moves maybe a half a turn then locks up. I am afraid to force it much. The left side was all the way in. I adjusted it some. Instead of going with a straight steering wheel or with the driver side tire I got the right side tire straight and adjusted the left side to the right. I think that may have helped a little but the toe is still out. The front and rear difference is more like an inch instead of 1/8"-1/4". It looks like the steering box sits higher on the right side which puts that joint at more of an angle than the driver side.

The tie rods on both sides should be pretty close to equal when adjusted. If you've loosed off the lock nuts and the tie rod won't turn, then there's an issue there. What brand and model of cart are you working on?

You said the right side was all the way out. If it won't move in, you may have to replace the tie rod. I would adjust them both to half way, then check the toe and camber and start adjusting from there. I had one other Precedent that I had to do that wit after I installed a Allsports 6" A-Arm lift. One side was almost at the end of it's travel, so I turned it back to half way then moved the other to half way. Then adjusted each side to get the toe. One note, if adjusting both the camber and the toe, each will affect the other. I adjusted to toe first, then the camber, then the toe till I got it right. It was a royal pain. I'm sure there's got to be an easier way, but I couldn't find it.

Usually you turn the steering all the way both directions and count the turns, turn it back half way to center, that is the place your tires should be adjusted at straight. Some people move things and end up messing that up then they turn one direction more than the other.

I am wondering if the tie rod got bent at some point and that being why it isnt wanting to adjust... it has to be either the end or the rod though....
