TXT skid plate/splash guard
Does anyone sell or has anyone made a skidplate or splash guard to keep the mud (or at least most of the mud) off the belt and clutches?
I'm probably going to make my own but it always helps to see what other people have done and hear how it worked out for them. Any input, advice, or pics would be greatly appreciated ! |

Re: TXT skid plate/splash guard
All of the ST model carts came with a bigger skid plate that included a "splash" guard for the clutches.

Re: TXT skid plate/splash guard
OK since I couldn't find what I was looking for I made it.
I made a cardboard template than fabed it out of 12ga. sheet steel. I welded three 7/16" nuts together for the rear mount that attaches to the U-bolt over the axle. I haven't had a chance to try it out but it looks like it should work OK. Here are a few pics of the skid plate, the rear mount, and the cart with and without it installed. |

Re: TXT skid plate/splash guard
I don't think cooling should be an issue because there is still quite a bit of room around the skidplate.
It really is more of a splash guard to keep the mud and water that gets thrown from the front tire off the drive pulley. |
