Default Stealth Apache XR Convert from 48 to 64 volts

Just bought a new to me 2009 Stealth Apache XR model. Literature says it has a 65 volt 900 amp controller on it. I imagine it'll need batteries soon, and I was wondering what other than batteries, charger, and cables would be necessary if I do 8 8 volts rather than 8 6 volts when I replace them. I know the newer model of these was 64 volts, and I think (that's trouble) it's the same controller.

Thanks!
