Hunting cart lift kit
I have a stock 48v 2009 CC DS that I'm trying to get a smoother off-road ride. I'm assuming I need some sort of lift kit?? Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks

Re: Hunting cart lift kit
48v. I was looking at a BU Christmas catalog and noticed they had a "Long travel" lift kit but it seems a bit pricey. It looks a lot different than the AA. Will the AA lift be independent and a better ride than the stock suspension?

If you are using the cart for hunting and off road , go with the long travel. I would not consider anything else. The safety factor alone is worth going with the long travel

Long travel is the only way to go offroad

Re: Hunting cart lift kit
is long travel similar to independent suspension? I have paths cleared by a bush hog but its not the smoothest if you're trying to get across the property at a rate other than crawling.

Yes, Each side has a A Arm, so the wheels are not tied across together.

OTE=jrstephe;1220782]What safety factor are you referring to?[/QUOTE]
Having the long travel is not as ridged and stiff while on uneven terrain. A spindle or A arm lift does not handle nearly as well. I say the safety factor because the golf car is narrow (comparatively speaking)and has a low center of gravity while stock, however, when you add a lift and high torque motor it now is much easier to flip whilst off the road. When I did my lift, I had my kids in mind and wanted to make it as safe as possible because it will be used trail riding off road the majority of the time |
