Default (bored)starting spring project early, need some input

So I was bored the other day so I decided to pull the 95 DS roller from behind the garage, started stripping it down, my plan is to do a 95 CC DS/Kawasaki 300 Lakota sport Merge, or I also have a 220 bayou , the bayou would need some minor work before hand. looking for some input on this build. first off I was thinking on incorporating the whole front suspension of the 4 wheeler to the cart, as I was tearing the cart down I then thought of just getting a 6 inch lift for it (jakes maybe)any input on how it would handle with either front end,the Lakota does about 65 mph and the bayou about 40 next I was thinking on having the frame sand blasted and powder coated any idea on the cost of something like that? Also I was looking at body's, Brads sells one for a DS its called a Spartan any info on them and the fit up. I'm thinking this cart might take a little time to build, but I'm in no hurry, a little wary about cutting up the donor 4 wheeler.

Use the front end from the 4 wheeler. Much better set up once widened and you'll also be able to use the brakes from it for more whoa power. I'd widen it out at least 4"-6" wider than the original golf cart front end for stability and you'll then have too install spacers on the rear. With the atv front end it will also ride a lot better too.

I think it will make a pretty good cart once you get it figured out and get it working.

I've actually been looking pretty hard on Craigslist for a decent 4 wheeler in the 350-450 size to convert too a cart. But so far no decent deals.

Good luck with the build and I'll be watching this thread.

Crash I wasn't sure about posting there, after I chop the frame integrate a 4 wheeler into it, and replace the body with an after market body, I was thinking that would offend the CC guys, You should see some of the comments I've gotten when I changed old military rifles,(some people get easily offended) is there a way to change the location of my post? or should I just repost it there.

Thanks for the input, I did think about widening the front and rear with spacers, the only way I can think about widening the front is cut it down the middle and re weld spacers (1/2 pipe or 3/8 flat bar) to hold it there, not sure, kind of sucks because the cart is all aluminum so I have to make bolt on brackets. I'll give it some good thought, I see a lot of good deals on Craigslist but all the great deals are in other states. good luck on your search and thanks again.

I was thinking on having some made up from aluminum, I read a guys post on here a while back where he went from his 4 wheeler to golf cart rims (4/100) shouldn't be much more then what they sell 2" spacers for. by the time I'm done it might be cheaper to go and buy a nice lifted cart, but then again what would I do with my spare time.
