I am shocked at how well build the cart is had it 2 years now drove it back in to the woods through water and mud on stock grass tires and it got through it. Have not to test it out yet in the woods that will have to wait till spring, drove it through snow and it goes good.

Nice looking cart. Check out http://www.plowmanscarts.com/ for performance parts.

Do the tires have directional tread? If so, are they going the correct way?

Yes they do and there on wrong way. Fronts need switch sides and same with back. Would that effect any thing? Did that way by accident and now thinking it would be easier on lawn since tread is on inside.

The lift tiled motor down and back more and now thinking clutches might get wet with mud. any one make a cover/shield to protect the clutches?

The direction in the tires helps it channel water, snow whatever away from the center of the tires. Helps it bite. I have heard both sides on which you want but try both to see what works for you.
