The 86 CC gas should have the same rear end as your electric one. Back when CC was using two-piece rear ends on gas cars, they would take an electric transaxle, and bolt a transmission on to the axle where the electric motor would normally be. With that being said,

Mines an 86. Rear lift was easy. I actually made it using trailer spring perches. My build thread is in my sig.

I've never seen a stock DS with four U-bolts out back. All of them should have 2. One per side going across the axle diagonally. Do you have any pictures of this setup?

Mine has four in that picture became the lift I put on (Allsports Super Sport 6") comes with hardware and plates to convert the back to a four U-bolt setup

Many people run the one per side setup, and you can too with that bracket if you wish. Problem with that is that over time the bolt will loosen up and cause the axle to shift and cause braking issues with the car. If you'd like a two per side setup, get in touch with Allsports. They sell the Super Sport rear lifts (that's what I have. Do you have the lifted spring perches as well?
