Default Offset Wheels

About to lift my DS and going to put some offset wheel on when I do. What do the numbers mean when "sizing" offset wheels? For example 3+4 or 2+5. I'm going to try and widen my stance a touch.

So a little more research says that to widen my stance I will want a negative offset wheel. It could either be refereed to as a -47mm or a 2+5. Any other explanation is still appreciated.

2" negative offset means that you have 2" from the inner mounting surface of the wheel to the mounting surface of your hub. 5" on the other side of the wheel to the outside/ a.k.a. The shiny side! :-) I have the 3" negative wheels with 2" spacers on the front and 3" on the rear. I think the 2"x5" look better though...

How much does a 2+5 offset widen the stance? 4"? 2" On each side? Why are you not running the same stance on all four tire? If I'm reading what you're saying correctly, you're a total of 2" wider in the rear that the front. I'm not really off roading or trail riding...I'm more or less dirt roads and asphalt.

Jakes LT is a little wider in the front than the stock rear...I use the spacers for added stability. The front is just barely wider than the rear with the different spacers. I should and could use a 1" spacer on the front and it would be even front and rear but I don't mind that the front is a little wider...the look has kinda grown on me. The added stability is worth it! Ride is amazing! I will take a few more pics when I get home next week but here is a pic of the front of my cart and a couple others using different wheels/tires and spacers.

Noticeable difference but it doesn't look too bad.
