You can get rear HD shocks or springs they use with rear seat installs on yamaha, I would start there. If you need to beef up the front I would look for a stiffer shock that fit, or add a second, I don't think there are kits for front but maybe. I would not lift it unless you have other reason to do so, I would mod the suspension to keep the same ride heights you have now, that way you wont have alignment or tire wear issues with your extra weight. Its common for the utility carts to carry significant weight, I don't know what all parts are different but you can look them up on tntgolfcar in the catalog part and see what a umax uses, the lighter umax is pretty much a standard cart underneath. IMO yamaha is the best cart made but that is just my .02 as well. You can find the most aftermarket for ezgo usually but can find lots of stuff for all three brands.

One other issue is the newer carts have articulating rear cradles, so they lean more when you turn. In yami carts they changed over after G9. If you are going to have a tall structure or weight up high that could be important. On the other hand the articulating carts will ride nicer on uneven ground, just don't turn really fast with a lifted one.

I think carts ride nicer lifted for sure, but mostly because the larger tire rolls over things easier. Unless it is a LT kit you still have the same suspension, but a larger height tire will roll over bumps better. You also should have more width that makes the cart more stable, you need that when you go higher but the articulating rear can make them lean more no doubt about that. You could fabricate some kind of sway bar or limit articulation if it were an issue. At low speeds it should not matter much, without a lift will not matter as much.

Look at coil over shocks for both front and back. I carry 4 people and equipment using these type of shocks and they work great. Simple install as well.
