Carryall 272 2" lift!!!!

Yeah, been wanting to lift the rear of my buggy since I got it and especially since I load it to plow snow. An axle flip was way too high so I just made some longer shackles for the rear but needed shocks. The 272 seems to be an odd duck here but a buddy at AutoZone found shocks that would work for the lift. I wouldn't even know how to search for shocks with stems on both ends. Gabriel Classics 82004.

I'm posting some pics in case anyone really cares.

Thanks dawg! Basically posted this just show the shocks in case anyone was looking for something like that. I have just enough lift to collect rain in the bed! REALLY rides rough now.

Picking up a 2006 272 on Sunday I like the 2" lift you did to yours. How did you make longer shackles and get the offset right? Are the shackles 2" longer between the bolt holes than the stock ones? Is the ride so rough now that you would not do it again? Thank you for the info sorry for all the questions. New to all of this my first cart.

Thanks! I made them out of flat stock at work. I measured, cut, then drilled them in pairs. I made a jig to get the offset and whacked them with a hammer. Easier than I thought. 2" seems the limit otherwise you would have to modify the engine cradle and front spring mounts.
The ride has always been rough especially compared to a DS but it's not a regular cart. It's made to carry some weight.

Thank you for the info! Did a 2" lift and replaced the shocks like you did on my 272 turned out very nice. Have not figured out to post pics yet but when I do I will post some. Thank you again for posting!
