?'S when lifting a gas cart
I got a Cushman hauler 1200x(ezgo workhorse). going to lift it with a custom lift like my last cart. my question is with a gas motor will I need to drop the front mounting location(engine mount) lower also to keep the motor sitting at the "factory angles"??? I have only lifted electric carts, never messed with the gas. any help will be appreciated.

Re: ?'S when lifting a gas cart
For a simple answer, "Yes." The front will have to be lowered in order to keep the motor as level as possible. It is primarily important for the oil level in a gas engine.

Re: ?'S when lifting a gas cart
For yamaha they don't do it for lower lifts up to say 4" (lift+tire lift, on a yami that just fits 22s so really a 2" suspension lift+2" tire lift). It does screw up the dipstick reading a little. Above that the angle gets excessive and you need to drop the cradle mount. If you swap a different engine you can mod the mounts to level it instead unless the angle gets huge then the suspension does not work as well. One advantage is you get more room for the engine when you drop it, if you plan to swap the engine. You can run into issues with brake cables on some carts where you have to move the mount or get longer cable(s) if you go high enough.

Re: ?'S when lifting a gas cart
You can either lower the front or build an engine mount with a larger rise in the back to bring the engine back too the correct level.
