Default Lift Kit Fab 202

ok layed out drop axle for my marathon, 4 degrees camber but what about caster? also just to make sure im using 23 inch tires 8" or 6" ? also on the steering arm from the pitman arm to the steering arm mine angles front to back alot but it is level so if i make a drop arm for it shoud i make it square like a car i know it needs to be level or ill get bump steer? and last you can see i angled the axle ahead like the drawing i got thats why im wondering if i need 8 jim

Angling your axle ahead like that then 6" should work for 23"s but it's real close to hitting the body of the cart when turning. If this axle is bolted to marathon springs it will be angled toward the back (neg. caster) unless you account for this in the making/changing the axle mounting pads or spindle mounts. If you use front txt springs i'll push your weldment/axle out about 2" so you wouldn't have to have the funky bend in the axle. also you won't have it angling to the back at the bottom because the springs have a slight bend that levels out where the weldment mounts. I tend to use full length bolts and clamp the axle to the spring, this way you can adjust the caster angle by loosen/tighten the front and back bolts.

That's the way I build mine. I did draw up trailing rods as well but never needed them.
The forward angle of the outer axle will eliminate wheel rub when turning. 6" lift with 23s shouldn't rub but that will also depend on the amount of travel you have in the suspension.

Notice the angle of the pad the spring bolts to? That helps get the neg 4 to 6 degrees "caster" you will like to track straight.
You can always wedge there after you get it assembled if you need more.
The "camber should be set at "0" (wheels straight up and down).
Toe should be 1/8 to 3/16" in

.

ok made the lift this weekend i have camber issues but will fix. do they make longer tie rod ends? i widened the front 4 inches and need to widen steering linkage. will any txt springs fix the funky axle tuck to the rear? i will post a bunch of photos monday i have taken them for you guys. the axle seems to move front to back alot im thinking the radius rods might happen. jim

I'm sure someone makes them but it would be just as easy to cut the tierod and add a sleeve to the middle.

Can't wait for the pics

You can go to a circle track shop and buy the right size aluminum tube and cut to length and thread to make longer tie rods. I used to build them for my mini quads all the time.
Radius rods are probable the way to go with that much axle lift. That's a lot of leverage. Looks good, keep um coming....
