Shock Bushing and Tie Rod End Boot Upgrade
While installing an AllSports 5" drop axle, I noticed how bad the shock bushings and tie rod end boots had gotten. I replaced them with Energy Suspension's polyurethane parts. The shock bushings made a big difference the ride, no more noise from the shock stems beating on the frame.

We're your shocks not worn out??? I would think so with bushing like that. Don't they come with new ones? I know automotive ones do.

Re: Shock Bushing and Tie Rod End Boot Upgrade
shock bushings were Energy Suspension 9.13119 R or B (R for red B for black)
tie rod dust cover Energy Suspension 9.13103 R or B (R for red B for black) Dust covers come 2 to a pack......I have 3 extras now. The shocks are still good. I think the rubber dry rotted and that why they hammered out so quick. I just bought it a month ago, so I don't know much about it's history. |

Most shocks do come with hardware kits, but you can also buy the kits separate, if needed. I been replacing rubber parts with polyurethane for years. Most companies like Energy Suspension give life time warrenties.

CLEMSONCARTGUY- The shocks were good, I (likewise in a previos life) worked in an alignment/frame shop. I know when shocks are bad. $20 of bushings is cheaper than $160 of new shocks. |
