Default Shocks front and rear

Im getting ready to do a 5" MadJax lift kit on my 2007 ez go txt. I was thinking about replacing the front and rear shocks as well. I do not know anything about shocks on a golf cart. Do I upgrade them due to the lift or just get any generic shock? Thanks

Stock shocks are fine. Not a whole lot of options available. There are some coil-overs sold for this application, but I don't believe they make a tremendous difference in a straight axle configuration.

If you get shocks, make sure they either come with bushings, or you buy them separately.

I just installed a 6" Jakes Spindle lift on my 96 Medalist/TXT this week. I believe the shocks are the same for the 07' TXT. I ordered these shocks from NAPA today ( NS 58539) for the front. I plan to order Air shocks for the rear either Napa (Ma705) or (Ma739) I have a 140 lbs cargo box/ rear seat.

Here are the specs for the NS 58539.
Lower Mount : S4
Shock Compressed Length : 10.625"
Shock Dust Shield : Yes
Shock Extended Length : 17.875"
Shock Travel Length : 7.25"
Upper Mount : S4
Shock Parts Pack Part # : (2) P1134

MA705:
Lower Mount : S4
Shock Compressed Length : 10.875"
Shock Extended Length : 17.375"
Travel : 6.500"
Upper Mount : S4
Parts Pack # : Two P1134

MA739:
Lower Mount : S4
Shock Compressed Length : 12.375"
Shock Extended Length : 20.875"
Travel : 8.500"
Upper Mount : S4
Parts Pack # : Two P1137

I can let you know how the front shocks work out in the next couple days. Hope the info helps! Doug
