Default Allsport Long travel lift Kit

So, Has anybody ever installed an Allsport Long travel Lift kit?

It came with parts not mentioned in the extremely vague, 6 step install papers. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and I'm pretty well stumped. Not much experience with golf carts.

Any websites or better install instructions floating around out there?

Thanks
Josh

Is it the new model? I installed the first version they had. It wasn't too hard to install, just lay it all out and take it slow.

It's for a 97 Club Car DS. Everything seems to be well built but I just cannot seem to figure out how the steering joint attaches as there is a lot of distance
And the directions provided are something to be desired.

Hoping to talk to them and see what I'm doing wrong. Will keep this post updated.

So I talked to the Allsport Tech just now.
Don't have time to work on it right now but will see if I can get it all together and keep everyone posted.

If all goes well, I'll do a write up with some better pictures.

I just installed one on my 2000 DS. Yes installation instructions are terrible. It all makes sense when you can figure it out. I can maybe help if you have any questions.

Hey lefty. Does one side of your long travel not lower down as far as the other. I'm having trouble installing the driver side shock because the drivers side doesn't drop down as far as the passenger.

If I might ask, what made you decide this brand of long travel vs another brand?

To be honest. I dot really know. I was gonna go with the Jakes however in getting in touch with TahoeDawg at Revolution golf carts, he pointed me in the direction of Allsport.

I have not ridden on it yet but if I'm going off of install and a couple other little things alone. Then I would not go Allsport again.

I got it installed yesterday but it seemed to be one issue after another. And customer service has not been that great.

So what was the reason you had a difficult time getting the shock on?

It seemed like the drivers side arm sat up higher than the passenger side. I had to have my dad come over and press down on the arm to give me enough room to get the shocked aligned and the bolt thru.

I'm waiting to take it for a test ride to make sure there are lingering issues.

Here's a picture I took to try and show the imbalance. It's not much but it's there.
