Default Lifted 87 Gas EZgo Shocks?

I just installed my 5" economy lift and 23' tires last night, need some spacers to make the wheels clear yet but really happy with it so far. All 4 of my factory shocks are beyond shot, I compressed one of the front ones last night and this morning its still compressed. Anyways I am looking for shocks and figured I'd just get longer ones instead of using the extensions. I am planning on getting the Monroe 31125's for the front but cant find what people are using on the rear with a lift kit?

I'm currently searching the forum but have yet to find the answer I'm looking for. Any input would be greatly appreciated

I believe MA705 is the stock replacement air shock, search monroe and scan through the first few threads.

After a little bit of searching when I realized you weren't looking for an air shock it looks like you're looking for the 31100.

Shocks are not spring loaded and don't un-compress, only damper (slows bouncing).

Why is that? The shocks recomended here are all automotive shocks and they do not function as you say. Steering stablizers do but not shocks.

Coilover or air shocks yes but not regular shocks and automotive shocks designed for a 3,000 lb + car might not be a good choice.

We may have to agree to disagree on this one. A shock does its job by constantly putting pressure on the springs which is how it dampens. Ive installed many shocks in my life and all (except sreering dampeners) have ALWAYS defaulted to the extended location on there own, hence the strapping on them wnen you take them out of the box, to install them you need to compress them to get the mounts to line up. If your quick enough you can mount one end, cut the srap and shove the second bolt through as the shock extends itself.

Im the type of person that admits when im wrong but in this case if i am wrong i have been installing the wrong shocks for 14 years. and i should also be asking for a refund on my tuition for the Automtive service degree i have.
