Default Looking for bolt-on EZGO roof rack

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a bolt-on roof rack for my 2001 EZ-GO TXT. I originally found one through Buggies Unlimited's print catalog that bolts to the factory support points on the top of the stock plastic roof (cost was $150 plus $25 shipping). I haven't called them about it yet but when I went to their website and put in the part number from the catalog, nothing came back. They also use to have a universal rack that strapped on (which IMHO didn't look that great) but even that one is off their website (part # TPR UNV 6500). A Google cache search finds the strap on version from 12/15/08 and it shows it as backordered which may explain why its off the current site (http://74.125.113.132/search?q=cache...lnk&cd=3&gl=us).

Either way, I'm looking for a bolt on roof rack near the $150 range. I found what looks like the same one that Buggies Unlimited offered at $150 but it's$225.99 + S/H through some place called 'Just Golf Carts' http://yhst-38413512481157.stores.ya...emerostra.html.

I know one can be custom made but I don't have a welder or the skills. Can anyone help me find one via the retail chanel for the price I need? Or if you are in AZ, offer to make me one? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Ron, some of them definitely fall in my price range. I'll check with them to see if any of the sizes match up.

I'm still looking for the rack in my original post. Anyone see it on the web lately?

Funny you bring this up I am planning to build one for my cart!
Here is a thread that has a screen print of what I have in mind for mine.

This may break before long, but I used one of these receiver carriers that I had laying around the garage:

And put it on the stock roof:

This picture is before I had it mounted. Now it's mounted to the roof & I chopped the windshield 3" in front, 2" in back so it could get in & out of the garage.

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to reinforce the existing frame with angle iron, or maybe replace the whole thing with something larger in diameter, ie; 1.5" DOM?
Either way, I'm thinking about padding them with boat trailer guide pads.

Blue72....that looks exactly like what I wanted. The BU version was only $125 at the time so it was cheaper than what I could make.

There is a couple of them on ebay for anywhere from $199 - $310. Just wonder how long it would take to tear up the roof struts with the added weight. I know Bad Boy Buggies come with one and also the Stealth carts. I want one to throw a climbing stand in when the rear flip down seat is already loaded with a deer or people.

That is exactly why I am building mine! I am probably going to chop the roof supports a few inches and add some additional tubes in a few places to strengthen them up a little for the extra weight!

I would use mine just to hold the groceries on the way home or possibly the kids toys on the way to the park. Just need a little extra room without heavily modifying another part of the cart. My saga continues.....
