7" HID Off-road lights
So I just picked up a pair of these lights at my local Checker Auto Parts store http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...goryCode=3157D.
They are on sale this week for $99.99 for the 7" lights (normally $119.99) and $94.99 for the 4" lights. I currently run two 6" KCs on the front that push out about 150 watts each. These HID lights are also rated for 2500+ hrs of bulb life. I found another forum that discusses them with pics of them installed on Rhinos...http://www.rhinoforums.net/lighting-...eckers-28.html. I'll add some pics once they are installed. |

Re: 7" HID Off-road lights
I just checked the manufacturer's website and it lists 6,000k as the color temperature....http://www.causa.com/store/catalog.asp?item=4065
I found this site has a pretty good explanation of the color scale, brightness, benefit over halogen, etc...http://www.jaguarforums.com/m_37698/tm.htm Last edited by JeepTwins; 01-15-2009 at 06:10 PM.. Reason: added website url oncolor comparisons |

Re: 7" HID Off-road lights
Ok, so here's some pics of the install. Since I already had a pair of 6" KC Daylighters installed, I was able to reuse that wiring harness since the fuse ratings matched and the l.e.d. toggle switch was hooked up to a relay.
Below you can see that the size difference between the Daylighters and HID KCs is evident. Plus the HID KCs have a removable clear acrylic shield to protect them from oncoming debris. They are so bright lit up that i don't even need to run the headlights at the same time. Brand new in the box.... New vs old comparison... Installed.... Here's a pic of the HID KCs lit up vs my stock EZGO halogen headlights. |

Re: 7" HID Off-road lights
I just swapped the 7" HID lights for a pair of 4" HID lights (less obtrusive). Here's a pic of one of them compared to a halogen driving light on my new cart.

Re: 7" HID Off-road lights
HID lights in general, are freakin Immaculate!
On my sparky, im running a set of 6300k in the main lights and i love them to death!!!!!!! Im gonna be putting in some 4300k lights in the fog lights that will be positioned lower so that i dont get cars flashin their high beams at me when im truckin down the road. lol Overall one of the best things ive ever upgraded! I love using them to blind kids and parents when they are walking around the park during the night. They complain about carts not having headlights, well then ill push that to the limit! LOL he he he. |

Re: 7" HID Off-road lights
Hey guys my brother in law told me. That if you call the store ( checkers ) and have them check stock for them ( lights ) and then have them hold them in your name....They will give you another 10% of the sale price.... He bought 4 and that's how he found out.
