What's the best way to Sand Cowls prior to paint.
Any help is appreciated. Previous owner went pin strip crazy and I need to get rid of them prior to painting/ plasti diping.

I have had good luck with a DA (dual action) sander.
start with something around 80 grit and work your way up from there. |

Is it peel and stick pin stripes? Or is it painted on pin stripes? If it's the sticker kind you could try using an eraser wheel on a drill.

If it's peel and stick you could use a plastic razor blade or even a real one if your carefull

Sanded the front cowl and have put primer on it. Very happy with the application of primer after sanding no pin strip visible any longer. Started the plasti dip (red) but not to impressed after the first couple coats. Not sure if I will leave it or not. Updates to come.

SSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....... I didn't like the color of the plasti dip. So I am pulling it all off and returning the extra cans I bought. I am going to go with a regular rattle can spray paint.
This plasti dip is not as advertised and it hard as heck to take off. Had to acquire some help haha. |
