Default 2016 Yamaha Drive lift question

We just bought a 2016 Yamaha Drive

I was told at the dealers, that Madjax or Jakes lift kits do not fit the Yamahas correctly and the rear wheels ended up being into the rear fenders almost they are not cencentered

They recommend OEM 2" lift with 20" tires max on a 2" lift

We want to go either a 2 inch or 3-inch or even a 4" lift but I would like to get 22 inch tires instead of 20 with 12" rims

Would an A-Arm Lift give me the best ride or a Spindle Lift?

I've only used A-Arm lifts on my past builds, but they were Club Precedents. I'm not familiar with the Yamaha's and their coil over shocks

Anyone had this experience?

Sounds like it's a little late to be researching? Have you bought the cart yet?

Yes, it was delivered Thursday

I been spending hours online trying to find out information

In the dealership , they did show me Madjax Lift's on Yamaha's, and it brought the rear wheel towards the front of the cart off center

that is true . when lifting the rear the tires do go off center. unless you do some fab work to the front swingarm mount.. but you can trim the rocker panel to allow clearance. I'm running a 4" lift with 22x10x10 on my G2. without any rubbing.

Which 4" lift are you using, Madjax?

I'd like to run 22x12x10 , but don't want to go upto a 6" lift

We sold our Club precedent because It was to high

The only thing you will need to do is "trim" the plastic side rail at the front of the rear tire. I think it makes it look better Never tried a Madjax kit, but the Jakes 3" or 6" work great for my customers. Good luck.

Will 22x12s rub in the front anywhere?

Sorry, I meant 22" tall, 12" rim, 10" wide tire

Jakes only makes a 3" spindle kit, I've always installed the A-Arm kits , I'm not really crazy about the spindle kits

Any Suggestions on a 3" A-Arm kit for the newer Yamaha's 2016 ?

I'm mid construction on my Drive, installed a 3" Rhox lift with 23x11x12 tires. Just trimmed the rocker panel
plastic slightly in front of the rear tires. No rubbing other than that. ImageUploadedByTapatalkHD1466894248.691229.jpg

That looks REALLY good ! Are you planning on putting a back seat on it? If so you think they will rub?

Can you post a pic of where you had to trim it?

So everywhere I'm reading, Yamaha on the 3" range seems to be spindles

I found a A-Arm kit that's 4" by Madjax, I wonder which would give a better ride ?

Thanks for sharing !
