Steering Risers Loose
The steering risers on my drop axle lift kit don't fit snugly on the steering arms. This causes a good bit of play in the steering. I thought at first it was the steering rack, but after checking everything out the problem is the risers. They were this way right out of the box. Any suggestions?

Not sure what it is that you are talking about. Which type cart, which lift kit/maker? How about a picture or two, once your allowed to post them.

Re: Steering Risers Loose
Sorry I haven't been able to check in. The cart is a 96 EZGO TXT. The riser bolts over the spindle arm but not to it. There is a fair amount of play which really affects steering. The picture needs to be rotated 90. Thanks guys.

Re: Steering Risers Loose
Those look like the risers on my steeleng lift and it looks like it's missing a part that makes a triangle for stability. I will take pic this evening. You can look at their site , their a site sponsor. Look up your cart you will see the piece.

Re: Steering Risers Loose
Some bracing would tighten it up and give it more strength.

Re: Steering Risers Loose
Ok it was late and I forgot to take a pic and forgot again thismourning. But here is a screen grab from Steeleng (SITE SPONSOR) of their lift for 94-01ish txt carts. If you look you can see the triangle pieces , those are similar to your risers but have a support piece in them to keep all that play out of it. A triangle with 2 legs won't be very ridgid?? Weld a piece of metaL like this one or cut triangle gussets out and weld to one side maybe?
