Default 89 Marathon first build

I have built and fabricated many things but never a golf cart, my $300.00 treasure needs a whole bunch of TLC but I am up for the challenge. I have a long way to go but I'm not in any hurry, got her tore down, cleaned up, replaced transaxle since old one was toast and am currently fabricating a front axle with 6" of drop and stretched forward 2", I figured I'd lift the front first and then lift the back to match the front.

Looks like you have some fab experience. Building the front first is how I built my first cart lift.

Keep the pictures coming.

Nice looking front axle!
Way better than the cobbled mess I did once.

Guess I'm earning my stripes, after building a new front axle that was 4" wider than stock with the intention of putting 2" wheel spacers on the rear I discovered that on an Ezgo marathon the front track width is 6" narrower than the rear, oh well I always enjoy the learning moments I just wish there wasn't so many of them.

I have a 91 marathon and at best the front is maybe 1/2" narrower on each side than the rear.

I'm in the process of rebuilding an 89 36v electric. Can you post some pics, I am looking for ideas, especially since accessories are very limited for this cart.

Thanks.
