2010 RXV blinkers and brake lights
hey guys, so I have a 2010 RXV (but the date code is 2211 so I think it is really a 2011) but either way. I am thinking about making it street legal. I found this kit on Ebay for about 100 bucks and it says its just plug and play but then I started wondering about break lights. do the break lights need to brighten up when you hit the breaks just like on a car. I'm not sure if the lights installed on my cart are correct to work with this system. does anyone have a clue because I do not.

If its just a standard kit the brake lights will not illuminate when you hit the brake pedal, the will just remain on like a normal car light does at night. If you were wanting it to brighten up when you hit the brake pedal there is a separate wirng harness with a switch that installs on the pedal and when the pressure hits it, the lights brighten up.

Get the deluxe kit it will come with the pedal switch and horn you need as well.

Yeah, so I called the guy I bought it from and he said it was just the standard kit. I found online the deluxe kit isn't that much more. I think I am just going to do that and rewire the whole thing. thanks for the help guys!

I just bought the deluxe kit. I guess I will just rewire the whole thing. at least the holes are already cut for the lights!

deluxe light kit installed pretty well. it took me 3 solid hours but I got it done. the kit I got from ebay(china) was pretty simple. it now has a horn and brake lights. at least the holes for the lights were already cut or it would of taken much longer.
