Mismatched springs
I'm currently restoring/modifying an 89 marathon, it appears that somewhere along the way someone replaced one of the front leaf springs with a spring that is 1/4" longer and has a bit more camber than the original spring, i want to move the axle forward 2", widen it 6" and lift 6" I had intended to do so when I fabricated a new front axle by using longer spring mount plates. Should I buy stock springs? buy the 88 marathon springs which are 19" long and not use longer spring mount plates? or should I buy stock extra heavy springs since moving the axle forward will put more leverage on the springs? Hoping for some wisdom, thanks

Re: Mismatched springs
My thought is HD springs and make longer perches/plates for it to move it foward. I think your onto something about the leverage.

Re: Mismatched springs
I USED THESE ON MY 93 EZGO (70989G03 Heavy Duty Front Cantilever Leaf Spring FROM AMAZON) LIFED FRONT 2" AND EXTENDED IT 2" ON TOP OF A 4" LIFT I MADE BEFORE AND AFTER PICS.
