Looking for EZGO lift springs not blocks
2000 EZGO shuttle 6. Does any company make lift springs vs doing a spring over with blocks? Trying to avoid making custom lift bracket for my factory shuttle that has hydraulic brakes. I saw in the search that Big Buggies made a lift spring but I cannot seem to locate any info on the company.

Re: Looking for EZGO lift springs not blocks
If the mounts match up you can use them or you can relocate your mounts but I would think the springs would be way to stiff and would almost be like not having springs since even light duty trailer axles are usually in the 1750lb range. Which if you assume your cart is 1200 pounds with extra crap you may have strapped to it and say it's a 60/40 split back to front that ream the rear is 720 pounds but your tires are unsprung weight and call them 60 pounds per axle and your down to 660 pounds for the rear of the cart or a load of 330 pounds per spring. A set of springs from a 1750 axle will be fully loaded at 800 pounds each so I would think unless your riding with 3 people in the cart all the time it will be a pretty rough ride. But if that's OK with you you can about make anything worth with a grinder and a welder.

Re: Looking for EZGO lift springs not blocks
Can you not do a block lift because the brake lines would be in the way ? could you flip the brakes upside down to clear ?

Re: Looking for EZGO lift springs not blocks
It might be for looks or perception blocks are bad? That's the common thought with blocks in the 4x4 world. Most people trash blocks. They have their place and limits though. Trucks are more concerned with articulation to keep tires on ground in extreme angles. Lift springs give more articulation for better traction than blocks. But this also is a golf cart.

Re: Looking for EZGO lift springs not blocks
look for spring at a local trailer supply store or someplace that sells replacement utility trailer parts Rural King tractor supply. places like that. I used a set out of a trailer to lift and move the front axle forward 6 IN in my 89 Marathon you can also take your springs to a spring shop and they can rebend them for you. Different things I have done or used over the years hope this helps

Re: Looking for EZGO lift springs not blocks
Well, ended up just doing as others have on this forum and welded some brackets on top of the axle and passed the brake lines through the brackets with leaf springs sitting on top.
