there are a passenger side (D) and a drivers side (E)

Quote:
4.
Mount the new shock mounts (ITEMS D & E) to the stock upper shock location
using the supplied shock spacers (ITEM F) and stock shock bolts as shown in FIGURE 3.
NOTE: The shock mounts are different for each side FIGURE 3 is showing the passenger side

make sure they are on the correct side

Same problem on the other side also ? This cart was my family's. Remember when it was new. Never been crashed or even used off course. I am going to grind edges to bare metal and mig weld the kits bolt on shock brackets to the frame.

Found these problems with the kit also. The lower shock bolt does not fit through the ball eye. I looked at pictures on jakes lifts website and the kit shows a shock with rubber bushings on both ends instead of swivel ball eyes. This shock supplied with my kit has threaded adjustter rings also instead of ratchet cog spring seats.
Also not impressed with the supplied spindles. No grease zirk or bushing for wear surface and the bolt to spindle clearance is about an 1/8 inch of slop clunk now and its new. Not impressed at all with jakes lifts g2 long travel kit. I have left 4 e mail's with them and have yet to hear back on how to make the shock setup work. Think they sent the wrong shocks.

Also am worried about the rest of the kit working. I have not started on the rear yet. Or if the front disc brake kit will workout
ok.

Crash test noticed in your pics and my directions pics it shows a different shock must be used. Hope they dont just send me a smaller bolt. Then it will be loose in the lower control arm mounting pipe lugs. The spacers were left off while mocking it up because they wont fit over the bolt.

It looks like the coating on your bolt is holding you up? Did you try an unplated bolt through the shock? I would chuck that bolt up in a drill and sand it to fit before going to a smaller bolt.
