48v 2011 club car precedent aftermarket motor upgrade.
Hell to everyone, my name is Matrick and this is my very first post!!! I Just bought a permanent park model camper in which I received golf cart in the deal. It's a 2011 club car and the serial number is: PH1101-165640. By reading the stickys i think iv come to conclusion that it is a 2011 club car precedent i2. I may be wrong? It has a lift which brand is unknown right now and bigger tires with seemingly normal size wheels. I am interested in doing some things to it with the first being a better/stronger motor. I want to go really fast. Also I'm interested in adding stereo and speakers and maybe a subwoofer. Can this be done using carts batteries or would I need seperate battery? I'm extremely new to all this but I'm ready to start makin some modifications to include oem look led headlights with light bars and under carriage lights. Again I am new to his and value everyone's input! I really appreciate all of ur time and advice. I'm under the impression that it a i2 cart which is good to know if that's correct but as of right now, it's all foreign language to me

Re: 48v 2011 club car precedent aftermarket motor upgrade.
PH is an I2 or commonly known as an EXCEL and while there is nothing at all wrong with an EXCEL they are a bit more costly to make fast...
You can have or may already have Speed Code 4 installed in your controller with would net you close to 20 MPH regardless you can spend 225ish for a Bandit motor rebuild from Plum Quick and see about 25 MPH... If you desire more than that your going to need to dig deeper in your wallet for some gold coins as speeds over 25 usually require both a bigger motor and controller as well as cables and solenoids etc... Be forewarned these carts can get down right scarey when moving at speeds over 25 MPH... While mine can break 33 it is not a regular occurance for me anymore.... |

Awesome! Thanks for ur advice and taking time to reply. It goes almost 20mph right now. Iv heard a lot bout speed code 5 and stuff. Idk how to check, why to check or anything. I def want to go 30mph. That would be really sweet. I'm gonna change the lift and get a wider stance.
