Anyone running these tires in snow? Or something similar?
It will be snowing here soon but I still want to run my cart! I have Carlisle Field Trax tires on it now, and they do OK in light snow...but in deep snow they struggle and lose traction. The stock 8.5hp motor doesn't make things any easier, either. Thinking about upgrading to a set of Maxxis 4Snow tires for the rear. Has anyone ever run a tire like this on their cart and how well do they do? Particularly at lower speed/throttle. Just trying to keep from getting stuck:

I run Kenda Speed Racers on with my snow plow. They spin some, but get pretty decent traction. The bigger problem seems to be the deep snow gets the belt wet and it slips.

I ran a 3 wheeler in snow with those long time ago, they spin and slide a lot I think the idea is they don't dig a hole to get you stuck. I have trailpro on my cart they are a large knobby tire. They do fine in the snow but there is no running once it gets too deep, the cart sinks and you are out of business lol. My 4wd plow truck wont go out there once its too deep either.
light snow with my clone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4bj1weMSKw deep as I can run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enIFSpMP_zI It was 18F that day, had it on the floor most of the time if in fresh snow and it barely went. Hard to steer. Once you have a trail its not bad, still spins a lot and hard to steer....when you are spinning a lot like I like to do lol. Even harder when you have a camera in one frozen hand and try to steer with the other, and snow filled tree branches are hitting you lol. Really should trim that trail. |

From what I gather these tires aren't going to be an earth-shaking difference to my cart's snow performance. Like I said, my cart does pretty decently in light snow.
