Stretched cart good for offroading?
Anyone have a stretched cart that they use for offroading? I see both pros and cons with a off-road stretched cart. Any opinions?

If this was a good idea Jeeps would be long. I can't think of any reason it would be anything but, over weight and high centered.

Or that crack forming in the middle of the frame at a real inopportune time.

IMO a wider stance is what you want.

I just thought of one good thing... If you fill the seats there will be plenty of people to help push it off the hump or up the hill.

Re: Stretched cart good for offroading?
I use my stretched EZGO AKA BBB really hard and it has held up well. I even moved the battery pack to the middle of the cart under the drivers seat to get the weight centralized. I was worried about the frame bending or breaking but it has been fine.
Keep in mind this cart is 4 wheel drive with two motors and its 72 volt. It crawls over rocks, trees, and stumps just fine. I chicken out on hills before the cart gives up. |

Here is a 20 second video of it in a mud pit.

It also depends on how hard core your off roading is. The video above is pretty hardcore in my opinion. If you are just cruising down establish trails or through grass and small brush that should be pretty easy.

I don't plan on going that extreme lol. There's a woods down the road from me with some good size hills. Some trails already and spots where I'd like to create my own

Re: Stretched cart good for offroading?
The only disadvantage I have heard of 4 seat GC and UTV are the wider turning radius, wider turning on the trail harder to get through tight spots. They seem to ride better. I'd like to hear some opinions too as I'd like to build a 4 seat cart as well something like the one pictured (lifted, 26 or better tires, spacers).
