New Front Leaf's HD or Not? Video!
Ok, I bought a stretched txt this year. Already did the 48v conversion, alltrax 500a, albright FNR Switch, Cables and D&D motor. I need to work on the suspension. It's lifted now, but it looks homemade and the leaf's I think are just about worn slap out.
The front axle rolls back a tad unloaded and rolls back and bounces loaded. Also the steering it hard to turn like its binding. I placed a jack under the frame and lifted it a tad to unroll the axle. The steering works much easier. My question is will HD leafs push the front end out or will it keep the same wheelbase? The cart fits perfect on my 12ft trailer. Also I have some new HD leafs for the rear of a Club Car DS. Will they fit on the rear of this cart? The video starts out with one person on the cart and the jack lifted. Once I release pressure it rolls back into the riding position. |

It does look like a stock straight axle that someone welded square tubing on top of? , I would go with a 5" dropped axle and with the extra weight of the batteries/extra passengers go with the heavy duty springs... or if money is no problem go with a long travel, but it will push the front wheels out and probably wouldn't fit on your trailer.
