New guy question about steep road
In the process of buying a cart. It is a 48V CC Precedent. It has a 6" lift and 22" tires. Typical setup I assume. My camp has a new paved road but it very steep, possibly 200 yards up hill at a 45 degree angle. Will my stock setup handle this hill? Is there any cheap/easy fixes for torque? Thanks guys. I am going to check out your forum now. Looks like a good one.

Re: New gut question about steep road
Welcome to BGW. A stock cart would probably make it up the steep incline okay. This cart has the disadvantage of 22" tires. These taller tires changed the rear gear ratio by 22% resulting in a equal loss of torque. Without power upgrades to compensate it may still make it up the incline but it will be a slow strain

Thanks for the FIX! I was all excited to get this cart, now I am iffy. Would a gas be better for the incline??

45 degrees! WOW That is really steep.
Just an editorial......I really have no solution. |

Re: New guy question about steep road
45° incline looks like this. I'm surprised a paving machine could do it. (not intentionally plugging Isuzu)

Re: New guy question about steep road
It is super steep. My Silverado will squeal tires while pulling the boat. It is just steep at one point but is long never the less. I went with a EZGO RVX. We will see soon enuf...

Re: New guy question about steep road
Well, my 48-V TXT will certainly pull that hill.....provided that I can get the traction. Paved road would not be an issue.....perhaps wet paved road would be....but dirt, gravel, and for sure mud would be. I hunt so I usually stick to hills with degrees of about 35. With stable ground I can usually go right up those.
