Default Tow bar/pole

Did a search and came up empty. Has anybody built a tow bar/pole assembly for a CC ds with a Jake's A arm lift? The stock CC assembly isn't really adaptable to my use. [Not enough up and down movement of the pole] Really, the semi permanent pole for the [I think] EZGO would be the cat's ***. the tie rod and "dogbone" stay with the cart, and the pole attaches with one pin. I can fab it myself but would like to see if others have already thought it out/done it. Thanks.

Wow. I'm surprised nobody here has built a working cart and has a need to tow it from time to time.

Ha Ha! I was waiting for that one! No, the reason for towing is to have transportation back to point A. Sometimes I need to take a tractor to the field or our gravel pit and come back to the yard and get another piece of equipment. My father sometimes tows his quad but it doesn't track worth sh%^ More of a drag than tow.

Got my lift kit installed with the new diff and motor. Tow bar might have to wait till spring or warmer weather. Winter is here and the shop is "climate controlled" as in the climate CONTROLS the inside temp. [Within 1 or 2 degrees.] On that topic, is it safe to weld on a cart that has a sepex controller?

Finally got enough done to post here. Pole built and the mount. Basically all that is left is the drag link to the spindle. I built it to fold as the pics show as I wanted it long enough to hook behind a piece of equipment that doesn't have a protruding hitch. The pole is sprung so if the pin is not exactly the same size there is no solid yank when starting and stopping. This allows me to build everything a little lighter too. The bolts in the pics are just temporary as I have got got those pins with the wire bail coming. The "pitman" will stay on the cart and the pole attached as needed. The drag link will be attached to the Jake's spindle using an arm from the factory spindles as I don't have a tapered drill for the ball joints. If anyone here has done this, any tips on getting the geometry right for the "last link" would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly had no idea what the heck you were talking about til you posted the pics. The stock frame has one built in.

You should try towing it with something just to test it.
I don't know if you need to have the steering linked to the bar, it will probably track fine just pulling it.

Good idea but no. Have been through that with 3 different quads over the years. They, sort of, kinda, track some of the time, on smooth pavement but not on lanes that are not dead level. These golf cart steering does not center or trail naturally like a car.
