Default Upgraded wire size?

Are you guys using true 2 gauge about .250 diameter copper or the large 2/0 two ott size that is more like .400 dia. .

The term 2 gauge seems to be used in both descriptions.
I have decided to go with only copper or OFC as listed, the more strands the better.
I ordered some 2 gauge 2,646 strand ofc to try out.

2 gauge and 2/0 are two completely different wire sizes....anyone using them in a same description should be avoided for electrical advice.

Most here upgrade from stock 6 gauge to either 4 gauge or 2 gauge depending on the anticipated amp draw.

I think to have 2,646 strands it must be 00 or 2/0 cable.

The number of strands only affects how flexible the cable is, there is no electric performance benefit.

I am not trying to be negative, just don't overpay on the count of the strands.

2ga should be about 660 strands, @ least the copper welding cable I'm going to use is.

Lol good point Sergio most people probably don't realize that. Just like some people will get excited when upgrading from 6 to 4 ga cables only to discover it does not boost their golf car speed/performance

This is the stuff that I tried out, I ended up going with Standard welding cable #2 because the casing is tougher than this stuff, this stuff is really flexible and nice but it's for car audio environment not laying in acid all day
