Smile Lack of hill climbing power

I bought a 2008 lifted ezgo cart a few weeks ago. It has the 295 robin motor in it. It runs good on flat ground but going up hills from the boat dock. It almost comes to a stop. So what can I do to make it climb better. I've seen post about using a smaller belt where would I get one of those?? Is there anything else that I can do?? Thanks for the help I'm new here first post lol

Is the motor slowing down or is it just not pulling? Might just need a new belt.

Most ezgo and yamaha use 1 3/16 belts. When they get to 1" wide on a normal cart that is junk, on a lifted cart its bad before that. If belt is not issue then look at the CVT odds are one is not working right or needs lube, or weight is broken or something like that. Could also be the secondary clutch is not shifting right, I don't know what one you have many ezgo you have to take the secondary apart to check the spring and ramps inside it. Those ramps are how the CVT shifts based on engine torque, it will rev under load if they are working right. One other thing to check is engine mounts, if they are bad or engine moves that will screw it all up, the CVT sees that as wrong size belt is on it and will not shift right.
