6" Madjax vs. 6" Jakes for Club Car
I'm a newb and this is my first Golf Cart. it's a 2005 Club Car Precedent Gas.
I've researched on-line and also through the search function in this forum and have it narrowed it down to a 6" A-arm lift, but I am on the fence between Jake's and Madjax. The cost seems about the same for both. I am leaning towards Madjax but wanted to see if you guys think I should be considering something else, or if you think Jake's would be the better way to go. Any input is appreciated as I am just learning and getting my feet wet with this stuff. |

Re: 6" Madjax vs. 6" Jakes for Club Car
Never mind. I found a thread from a few years ago that addresses this (looks like Jake's is the recommended brand). I would post that thread on here if this comes up for anyone else, but I am too new of a member to do so (I have to wait a week). I found it through a google search, for some reason it wasn't coming up in the forum search. Thanks everyone.

JK, If you haven't purchased already you might want to give the ALLSPORTS 6" double A arm SuperSport lift a good hard look. I've installed several of these and they are top notch quality. The kit uses heim joints everywhere so fine adjustments are easy. You really can get a rock solid ride very easily with them. Site sponsor Revolution Cars (TahoedawgZ71) is a dealer I believe.

Re: 6" Madjax vs. 6" Jakes for Club Car
Any of the three are going to give You "lift", but none are going to actually address TRAVEL as they only basically extend the stock-style suspension. Now, if You're going to be driving around the neighborhood, campground, etc and want to look cool, that's all You need - but if You are really going to USE your cart offroad, do yourself a favor and pop the few extra bucks for a true "Long-Travel" lift kit (Jakes being the most cost-effective and in my opinion, are engineered the best). The difference in Ride, Handling, Sure-footedness (if that's a descriptive, LOL) is beyond description, they smooth even the craziest trails right out and they widen your stance so you greatly reduce the risk of a rollover, plus as a bonus they are the best-looking kits out there.
