1" front lift for '93 Carryall 2
I installed 12" rims and low-pro tires on my non-lifted cart. I love the look and have roughly 1-¼" clearance from tire to frame and inside fender wall with full turning.
I don't rub while traveling on level paved/gravel surfaces, even with suspension travel, but if I run (a very little) off road, the tires rub on the inside plastic fender wall when turning sharp and when the suspension compresses. I think that the Carryall 2s have a slightly different suspension/frame setup than a standard cart, that's why I don't rub out of the gate. I'm considering a 1" lift in front to ease the clearance problem. I don't think I need (want) a wheelbase extender kit. That said, I can't find a 1" lift kit for a '93, so I'm planning on milling my own out of aluminum stock. Thoughts? Suggestions? |
