Default 2000 EZ GO TXT steering knuckle

Hello everybody. I have a 2000 EZ GO TXT, my son was driving this weekend and must have hit something hard. Ended up braking the steering knuckle where it attaches to the tie rod end and bent the tie rod end. I noticed that the drivers side was cracked as well, so that will be replaced. My question is, are there better or steering knuckles that are an upgrade? So far I have only seen what looks to be OEM aftermarket. My cart has a lift kit, I am not sure on the height. The bracket that goes between the tie rod end and steering knuckle doesn't seem to be more than 4-6 inches tall. Also when replacing these components, is it necessary to replace any bearings? I imagine I will take out the wheel hub seals when removing the wheel hubs.

Hey duder,
I am sure there are aftermarket ones since I have ST's on mine and they have served me well. I am not sure on toughness though. I would definitely check the hub bearings for play while I was taking everything apart anyway. If you go to the "gas ezgo" on the main page here you can find the repair manual for your cart. (If i was smart enough to do it I would paste a link here.) I'm sure someone will wander along before too much longer and will be able to assist you further.

Heres what i did, before and after pics.

You can see what i originally had and what i installed. I went with this Jake's brand as it was sold locally and the owner of the shop swore by them. I need to adjust the toe some, but should be good for a test run. We will see how they hold up. New motor controller and new lift kit, lets see what we can brake now.
