Default EZGO shuttle rear lift issue

Hi guys

I have a 1998 EZGO shuttle (2 rows of seats front facing). My jakes lift kit 5" worked great in the front. But in the rear I ran into a problem. The axle has e-brake mounting hardware welded on top of the axle, just behind the 5 lug hubs. There is also hydraulic brake lines that run paraley to the entire axle (left to right) that connect to each hub. This makes it impossible for the typical lift block to be placed on top.

I have only found one thread on this website regarding this exact cart, with this exact topic, and it was helpful to understand that it CAN be done by modifying and welding the jakes- lift blocks, so that they hover over and clear all the e-brake hardware.

My question is, has anyone ever found an alternate solution to this? The cart sits a bit higher in the back then the front does when its bone stock. So i figured if i can do a slight lift in the back, maybe with some drop shackles where the leaf springs mount, it would be enough. To make it look right. Any suggestions, tips, pictures are greatly appreciated.

My tire size is now 20x10-10 5 lug, looks great in the front. NOW, to complete this thing!
I will post some pictures.. Let me dig them up.

Thanks guys

Not familiar with shuttles but how about something like these and grind a slot for the lines?

When I was in the market for a cart, one of the first ones I came across was lifted with only shackle extensions. Only real issue I could see was it made the entire axle move forwards.

Did you complete this project? What was the solution for the rear? Were brake lines effected from lifting the rear?

Did you use the Jake's E-Z-GO Medalist / TXT Electric 5" Axle Lift Kit (Fits 1994-2001.5) ?
