G9 lift which one?
Hi guys, just getting into the whole golf cart thing and wonder which lift I should get for my 1994 g9? It is stock as of right now. I can't afford the long travel at this point because i need new wheels and tires. I've looked through the archives on this site and BU and it seems there is a double a arm lift 7" and the Jake's 6" spindle lift are right about the same price. Is one any better than the other as far as ride quality and strength? This cart will be used primarily off road.
Also what tires should I get? The mud lites look cool and this will probably see a lot of mud and for sure snow in the winter so I don't want to be getting stuck all the time. Thanks For Your Help! Vance |

Re: G9 lift which one?
ok cool, i see you have the Jake's stuff. The double A-arm set up i found from everything carts looks cool too. is one any better than the other? Also should I run 22" tires or 20", will they rub with either kit, i don't want to cut up the body of the cart. I have some hills as well, will the cart pull the hills with the 22"? thanks, sorry for all the questions, just want to do this right the first time.
thanks, vance |

add the power spring to the driven clutch and you are good to go.

Re: G9 lift which one?
thanks for all the help guys. i wish i could afford the long travel kit but at 3x the price of a regular kit it doesn't make sense to me. looks like i only have the two choices, jakes 6" or the dual a arm 7". any preferences and why???
thanks again, i can't wait to get this done. |

Re: G9 lift which one?
Anything Jakes is Top Quality stuff. I have a 6" Jakes spindle and everything is extremely well built. They lack a little in the instructions department but if you are at least half mechanically inclined you can do it your self with no problems. If you can find some close up shots of the BU lift and the Jakes you can see the difference

Re: G9 lift which one?
I have a 6" jakes and have had no problems at all with it. Very well made and
very strong. I've push it many times off roading, it is tough. |
