Ds build
Been building this to take to GA to hunt for a few months. still need to build racks front and back.
This site has been very useful for information during the build. We have been using it to help clean up the mess Irma left. Gx 390 swap with comet 780 and VC upgraded secondary for wider belt. |

Re: Ds build
With the huge secondary clutch it still has a ton of torque. I need to get a shorter belt to get top speed but i gps a little over 30 with the factory gov still on the engine. It will pull my tandem utility trailer loaded with brush almost as fast. I ordered a couple belts Friday I'll update when I swap them and see if that helps.

Re: Ds build
Haha. Yeah it's huge my kids climb up the tires to get on. I'm planning on swapping a twin in it this winter. It bogs like a old tractor in thick clay. I want to sling mud trying to decide Which one. I had the predictor twin but I didn't like it and swapped it back out.

Re: Ds build
well the guys say the briggs v-twin is the way to go and the bigger the better, I would think a 23hp would be a great start but either way its gonna cost you.. I'm running a VC 460 in one of my carts, but I don't think you will get what your looking for from that engine..
