G9 lift question
I have looked but it seems everyone lifts the rear with a shock extension, it looks to me a spacer could be placed between the axle mount and the body. Is there a reason for not doing this please?

Re: G9 lift question
Good question when I was pondering using a doner youth quads suspension I thought about that but did not want to lose any more ground clearance I ended up putting the Jake's lift in it

Re: G9 lift question
I just went out and looked at the Cart again and if you put a block under axle I don't think you will gain any wheelwell clearance either I don't know what your goals are for the lift?

Re: G9 lift question
Bigger tires on a gasser , I went out and looked and you are right, it would actually push the frame down. Thanx

Re: G9 lift question
You can fit a 22 maybe 23 tires with shock extensions. If you go more you hit the rocker badly and the engine gets really tilted and the rear bumper mounts hit the tire too. Usually have to trim the rockers for 22s. Then you have to move the cradle mounts down and back to center the tires and down levels the engine out some, and you can fit larger than 23 on there after you remove/reconfigure the bumper mounts.

Re: G9 lift question
I just lifted my G9 with a RHOX 6" kit and have 22" x 10.5 x 10s and the only issue I have is a little scrubbing of the rear inner fender. I m thinking I can tuck those in but haven't had time to try it yet. Worst case I will get some short spacers.

Re: G9 lift question
I cut mine vertical a couple/few inches, then poke some holes in them and ziptie the bottom back away from the tire enough. They still keep the mud out, just need to be held back so they don't rub. It they are hitting on the inside (the back of tire) maybe the wheels don't have as much offset, I didn't have that issue with 3+5 offset wheels and fat 22s on there.

Re: G9 lift question
Ok I did fab up some 6" extensions, I cut the rockers about a quarter past the fender and rolled the edge kinda like it was before.
Now on to the front, I think I will try to copy the front hitch lift. I know the front end gets moved forward, my question is how far forward do most lifts go or do I just put the wheels on it and dry fit it? |

Re: G9 lift question
I moved my arms to the front of the brackets, so maybe 2"? But its not like the pachanga lift on here. So I'd say 1.5-2" is enough I have plenty of room with mine with 22s. If you go larger well I think 25s would fit my front not the rear.
