Default Anyone ever use a deep cycle battery?

As I embark on my 2005 EZGO TXT build I was curious. Has anyone ever opted to use a larger deep cycle battery instead of the "normal" sized stock battery? I want to be able to run lights and stereo while not driving (and charging) and thought a deep cycle would serve the purpose well.

OH... Is it on the charging circuit or do you run it isolated and charge it when needed?

Unless it is done in a way I've never heard of, yes you use a separate charger for this battery.

You mean like this?
Heavy duty battery with a fuse block for things like disco lights, stereos, amplifiers, LED light bars, winch........ been there done that!
Lost the disco lights to a root on some motorcycle Trail, lost my JL audio amplifier to three foot of water, should not have tried to cross that Creek. And yes all of my stereo equipment was Marine. Light bars held up good, with the winch bit it trying to pull out a Suzuki Samurai. Has the new winch now.
