Re: G9 shock info
Measure them collapsed and fully extended. There is a sticky here somewhere for Monroe shocks. Shouldn't be too hard to find some automotive shocks that will work. Not sure if you need coilover shocks or just shocks on your cart. Coilovers you might need more help than this EZGO owner can offer.

Re: G9 shock info
I would think you need something from a touring bike because of the weight, unless you are planning to run triples. I used to ride a Yamaha venture ( 1st gen) and it had air shocks that could be adjusted for a rider or a single. 2nd Gen's adjusted but you needed an air pump, kind of like the Hardleys.

Re: G9 shock info
It would be a good idea to find out what the stock spring rate is on your cart and find a similar weight vehicle. Those first ones are for a bike that probably weighs 200lbs soaking wet. Your cart is likely 600-800lbs.

And by the way, a venture weighs about 800# dry however only uses one shock and I agree you are looking for something reasonably similar. Your primary use may change what is a good fit for you also. We also found a progressive spring does well for the ride and loaded compromise.

Re: G9 shock info
There is a feller on here that has a 6" Jakes Long Travel and used the coil overs from a Honda Pioneer 1000 on the rear. It was a direct bolt on and eliminated the "goal post" bracket to get the lift needed.

Re: G9 shock info
The first set you posted are to weak, the second set are also probably to weak, Shepard put a set on with the air but had to double them up, had 4 shocks on the rear of his cart, your gonna need fab skills and a welder if you go that route, did you think to add a spacer to the original shocks, that's what I did and it worked great.. I think I added a 1" piece of pipe to mine, i'll have to double check..
