Default First Timer Help me get started

This is going to be my first time with golf carts. I plan on making it into a hunting and around the farm cart.
So step one the cart. I will be going Electric.

2015 EZGO TXT or 2012 Club car Precedent? Both are in great shape and about the same price.

Thanks for the help and will be looking forward to your help soon with all the next steps.

As for me I'd look closer at the president, if it is as clean as the easy go, I would go with the president, but that is because I am partial to the aluminum frame. The Kawasaki FE 350 is almost a bulletproof engine, in the Kawasaki axle can take abuse as well. The only thing that is wrong with the president, is as God ugly front headlights, a 36 in light bar( that stuff too) took care of that. As far as the ride goes, would be what lift is under each cart, that would make a difference in price and what I wanted as well unless they're both the same.....

I had the same question when I decided to go the electric golf cart route for hunting. I decided on a club car for the aluminum frame mostly but I also spoke to many hunters that had carts and the majority suggested Club Car. If you take the cart through an area that could scratch, mar or dent something underneath then you have piece of mind with the CC knowing you don't have clean, sand and repaint a section of steel.

My $0.02 and good luck!

The CC frame is aluminum. As we know Aluminum frames are subject to stress cracking and oxidizing. But it is lighter and that increases the power to weight ratio - that is why I like them... but, I prefer the no OBC, no MCOR electronics of the TXT48 and I prefer the soother ride of the Ezgo. Both carts can be made to do about the same thing. I keep one of each. Pick yer poison.

Is the reason that you're going with electric, is it because of the price difference between a gas cart?
I started out with a Sparky, just for hunting, and never was quite satisfied. Then my buddy showed up with his gas golf cart, and he went everywhere, even toed the electric back to camp. Then I went out and bought a gas-powered. And I'm very glad I did.
If you have a small piece of land electric would be okay.
23018226cnBut if you want to go to deer stands and check stuff out and Fiddle fart around. The gas is the only way to go.

But you might be on a budget, and a Sparky is all you can afford. The good thing is the club cars really hold their value...... so you can always trade up from Electric to gas.....

A club car body is a hell of a lot easier to R&R than a ez go as well. They are both good carts. Take a look at both and see what you like.
