Default Painted springs for suspension

Hey everyone just curious who all has painted springs in there suspension? Looking for the best way to have the front match the heavy duty red springs in the back?

Plastidip is probably your best bet since it will flex

I've painted several golf cart springs (just flat black) and quite a few leaf springs (red/yellow) under auto's/trucks before. I simply use Rustoleum spray paint. Holds up pretty well unless chipped by rocks or dabris. I prep by thoroughly washing, cleaning, drying, and some light sanding or wire brush if necessary. Light coat, dry, another light coat, dry a few minutes, repeat... I also make sure its fairly warm out. Spray can paint does not do well in cool temps.

I didn't think about plastidip. I can try that and always paint them if it doesnt hold up

I've never had much luck with plastidip. But I've never used it on steel springs either, mostly wheels. And E36 has a good point, probably best to use something flexable. I mostly just use the cheap stuff.

I use flex seal, it's pretty tough stuff. 2 thick coats. Give it plenty of cure time before reinstall.
Any of the better bed linings will work as well.

What about KBS RustSeal comes is various colors !!
KBS Makes some Kick Arse Products, they also make a rubbertype undercoating

Used their Zinc Primer and XTC to do my Manifold on the 29, and using the Maxx to do exterior Black Parts.

Use this link to get the code
KBS 15% Code Link

I used it today and got 15% my order, and over $50 is free shipping, under $50 shipping is only $5 !!

I've simply used Rustoleum (orange) with good luck but I'm not going for showroom quality either. No issues with cracking due to flexing.

Just used plastidip (green) on the last one and I wouldn't do it again. The stuff is pretty messy and needs to be applied in many multiple coats, leading to more expense.

I don't think they are going to flex enough to cause any issues.

Any decent paint should work fine. I have used regular black and rustoleum bed liner

Ryan, I like your pic's and avatar. You better watch out, that little one is going to grow up way to fast!!! Keep up the good work of including your kids in your projects.
