Best Cart for Lifting and Mods
Not wanting to start arguments between loyal cart owners here, I am wanting to purchase a new cart and build up to a lifted machine that will handle normal mudding. I have researched a little and would also probably go into motor mods as well.
I am looking for a cart that has relative easy obtainable aftermarket lift kits for lift and long travel, tires, wheels, body bling, stereos, etc... Do I need to purchase a new cart for this, or how do I go about getting a used cart that is not a rolling turd? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and I do not want to buy one that has already had the work do to it. |

In my opinion a good used EZ-GO would be the way to go. Parts and accys are plentiful and they are easy work on. Oh yeah go with a gas cart.

You can find good deals on Craigslist, just type in golf cart and search away...

Even though, I favor Yamaha's, if you are looking for a plethora of after-market supplies, an EZ-GO is probably your best bet. Yamaha's, though not as much, still have a good amount of after-market supplies. They make great carts and will run forever.

All three have lots of add-ons. Club Car and Ez-Go have more options than Yamaha. Stay away from the imports, not much out there in the aftermarket.
Any of the major 3 brands should meet your needs. |

Re: Best Cart for Lifting and Mods
Hello jharris and Welcome to the forum.
(1)Stick with the plastic bodies. Metal bodies are old carts. (2)You don't need a new cart to accessorise. (unless you just want new.) (3)Always find out how old the batteries are on, a used cart. (Average life-5 yrs) (4)Check for clean oil and Smoking engine on a gasoline cart. Hope this helps.................... |
