| I decided to go with an Allsports 4” lift on my Geep1 project. Thanks to CPP for the fast service. I like the lift, all of the components are of good quality, welds look good and the finish is very good. The install went well, the front went on without a hitch. All new Nylock fasteners are included with the kit. Not only does it raise the cart but moves the front wheels forward 2”. The rear required a small modification. Because all G1’s aren’t exactly the same, I had to switch the position of the new rear brackets due to the body restraint arm location. Instead of the pipe clamps being on the outside of the shock mount, I put them inside (right hand one on the left and vice versa). The mod was easy, just cut a notch in the corner of the new bracket to allow clearance for the body support. (see pics) I haven’t had the cart on the road yet but I don’t for see any problems. More in a few weeks when I get this thing on the road. Note: The two "Z" shaped pieces in the pic below are front bumper extensions and are not shown installed on the cart. The outsides of these body supports just needed a little more room to seat when closed. OH YEAH!!! |

| Thanks guys!! I hope to have the body done in a couple weeks. Quote:
I should have mentioned earlier, that I am also using Allsports 2" wheel spacers all around. Very nice product, machining is top notch. | |
