Rhox Mojave tires over pressured, ruined?
Just received my wheels and tires. One tire was at 43psi, it was noticeably bigger than the rest. Even stayed that way once I aired it down to the 20 psi that the tire says is it's operating pressure. Tire also says not to exceed 36 psi when setting the bead. I don't know anything about golf cart tires. I went ahead and released all the air pressure and am letting it sit for awhile.
Is it ruined? |

I don't know if it's ruined but I would send it back and get a new one ,,,that way you don't have to worry about it and have peace of mind.

Thanks guys. Waiting for response back from the supplier. It's still bigger, not as much. I'm quite confident they will offer to send me a new one. Was just curious, as cart tires are quite different than truck tires, which I do have knowledge about. I'll let you know what ends up happening.

I run about 8psi in fronts and 12-15 in rear depending on load in the dump box and rear is heavier anyway... and the fronts are smaller looking but with more pressure they expand. I'd try for a new one if its different, because they are new they should be a matched set. It should not damage the tire but hey its new they all should be the same.

Thought I'd give an update.
After some back and forth of information and pictures with the Cyrstal at ecartparts.com, they are sending me a new tire and wheel. Crystal was awesome with the back and forth and keeping me updated. The manufacturer went back and checked quite a few things, got measurements from me and tested tires at their facility. So I know this replacement tire will be good. They even said I could keep the other wheel and tire. I'll have it as a spare when I'm in the woods and inevitably end up with a puncture. Very happy with the outcome. Excellent customer service! |
