Where to find 24s or 25s for Carryall?
The Carryall already comes with 23x10.5-12 industrial tires, perhaps for forklifts. I want to go to 24s or 25s on the rear. I'm having trouble finding ATs in those sizes.
The Carryall can handle 1200 lbs, so they need to be sturdy tires, not ATV tires. I tried here, no luck http://www.golfcarttiresupply.com/li...pproved-tires/ I also tried Discount Tires, no luck Are any of you guys running ATs in a 24 or 25 that can handle 1000 lbs in the bed? |

Where to find 24s or 25s for Carryall?
I’ve got a brand new set of 25x12.5-10 Bear Claws. I put them on last weekend and They literally have less than 1 mile on them. I wanted 25’s for my DS but I’m not willing to lift it high enough to make these fit and they will scrub when I hit bumps if I don’t lift it more. I also don’t need a tire as strong as this one. It’s a 6-ply tire and I’m used to a 3-ply. I never haul anything extra that weighs a lot, so a stronger tire isn’t necessary for me.
I know I’m going to take a loss on them but - lesson learned on my part. If your interested please PM me, I’d like to to let them go on the same black 10” wheels that they are already mounted on so I don’t have to pay someone to remove them. Let me know if you are/aren’t interested. If your not I’ll post them on the classifieds. I just logged in to list them and saw your post so thought I would reply here first. I’m in Central FL. UncleJerm76 your link was helpful though. I SE'd on Bear Claw and wound up here. Now I just need to find some that are less aggressive. We hardly get rain in Central Texas so I only need an AT tread.

I dont see why an ATV tire wouldnt work? i scored a pair of Honda Foreman stock tires and they work great.. i have them pumped up around 25psi and they dont flex or cuff on turns.. granted they are spaced a little apart so low speed on pavement is kinda rough but once moving its smooth

Pretty much when you get a tire 24-25" tall for a 12" rim it is a given it will be used for serious offroad work. Hence the more aggressive pattern. The EFX Hammer tires appear to be the mildest tread in the tire you are describing but come in a max height of 23" for a 12" rim. Then they jump to 27" for a 14" rim.
Which carryall model are you looking for tires for? |

Where to find 24s or 25s for Carryall?
Quote:
@Rooster, I slightly disagree with the generalization you made. 25” tires can be found with a rating as low as 2-ply with non-aggressive tread patterns and low load capacities. @RenoHuskerDU, However since your looking for higher load capacity you’ll want more than 2-ply for stability with high loads. Here’s a 6-ply 25” GTW Barrage. The load capacity listed on a Ebay sale says 1,100lbs per tire @ 25psi. Have you looked at those yet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I consider the Barrage a more aggressive tread pattern. Maybe the least of the 25" tires but more so than an AT tire.

Greenball Afterburners are another option. About as non-aggressive as you can get in a 25” tire. 4-ply and 500lb per tire load rating.
